The Faculty of Engineering at 7th of October University was established in 2000. The faculty provides quality engineering education for the needs of the society and the institutional vision. The faculty endeavors to create a dynamic academic and research environment. It undertook to provide educational programs of the highest standard and the task of developing its educational programs in order to be consistent with the world's rapid technological developments.
It started with the departments of Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering. Material Engineering Science then established to be the fourth department. The institutional expansion continued, recently, the faculty established the Petroleum and Architecture Engineering Departments.
The faculty now has six departments, and awards Bachelor's of engineering degree. It is fully aware of its responsibly towards its engineering graduates to satisfy the country needs and local market requirements for well qualified junior engineers of high caliber and proficiency. The faculty of engineering has also been involved in launching and organizing a number of scientific conferences and scientific symposia. The last of which was the event of Engineering Day "For Engineering Education Serves Development" that held at the faculty annually.
